Café 1730, is situated in the tower 2 of World Trade Center, Pune. I had a buffet lunch with a few of my colleagues. The moment I entered the café I was impressed by the décor and sitting arrangements. I felt I am going to have something delicious today on my plate but my expectations were shattered soon. It was an average visit and there were only a few things which got my attention.
Whoever has painted the wall is extremely talented. 100 % to the artist. I loved the sitting arrangement and the colors they have chosen for their café. Good use of space. Right from the furniture to wall color to architecture, everything seems positive. I got a positive vibe as I entered inside. I would rate a 4 to the interior.
Since it is a café bar you can see the crowd in the evening. The music was light and did not triggered. The dark wooden furniture gives an elegant look to the café. The staff was nice and served on time. They were prompt with their services. I would rate a 3 to the interior.
Coming to the most important part, food, well I was not quite happy. Welcome drink with starters increased my expectations with the upcoming buffet. The starters were above average, not good in the comparison to buffet system other restaurants offer at the same rate. Tomato & basil soup was high on salt, the paneer tikka was bald in taste, there was no zing to it, dal tadka was bald which is a shame, its basic. I would rate a 2 to the food.
The price 500 for 2 is below fair, and I would suggest to prefer starters over buffet. The only thing good at this rate is starter and the dessert.
Overall, rate 3.
